Peer Review Process

Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen Surya Pasca Scientia

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Ilmiah Manajemen Surya Pasca Scientia undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, ensuring both the identity of authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review.

1. Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, each manuscript is evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated editorial board member to ensure it fits the journal's scope, structure, and ethical guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be rejected at this stage without being sent for review.

2. Plagiarism Check

Before entering the review phase, manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using reliable plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts exceeding the accepted similarity threshold (usually 20%) will be returned to the author.

3. Peer Review Assignment

If the manuscript passes the initial checks, it is sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and manuscript complexity.

4. Double-Blind Review

  • Reviewers are not informed of the authors’ identities.

  • Authors are not informed of the reviewers’ identities. This approach minimizes bias and ensures a fair assessment of the manuscript's academic merit.

5. Reviewer Evaluation

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and contribution to knowledge

  • Clarity and coherence of the manuscript

  • Methodological soundness

  • Relevance and depth of analysis

  • Appropriateness of references

Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept without revision

  • Accept with minor revisions

  • Revise and resubmit (major revisions required)

  • Reject

6. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editor makes the final decision. Authors will receive the decision along with constructive feedback and may be asked to revise their manuscript accordingly.

7. Revision and Re-evaluation

Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within the given time frame. In the case of major revisions, the manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers for re-evaluation.

8. Final Acceptance and Publication

Once the manuscript is accepted, it proceeds to the copyediting and typesetting phase before final publication. Accepted papers will be published online in the upcoming issue of the journal.
